There are several interesting places where camping activities and close contact to the wild can be experienced. A highly recommended, enjoyable and safe pleasant location for camping is “La Flor”, a natural Reserve located 22 kilometers south of the nearest big town of the region, San Juan del Sur.
On this unique Reserve and beach site, an incredible massive turtle arrival happens every single year between the months of July and January. The notable Olive Ridley turtles lay marvelously their tennis ball size eggs in the dark sand of the Pacific Ocean, 50 days later thousands of eggs hatch and effortlessly find their own way to the sea.
The surrounding is a natural site, a combination of scarce rural activities, farming; laid-back house developments, natural reserves and free-massive tourist beaches. Biking, hiking, walking, horseback riding, swimming, and relaxing by listening to the sound of the waves of the ocean or looking the endless sea and its glowing sunset are some suggested activities.
